What is this??

He's about 1cm long and is burrowing into the heart of my roses pretending to be a bee. Is he a baddy or a goody?

I think you'll find it's one of those Belgium Bee Impersonating Beetles, they are very common around the Maastricht area and love Roses and if you have any fruit trees- watch out! they'll be next when they've done with your roses!! These little critters are one of the few things Belgium is famous for!
